GOP Getting Scared and Getting SCARY

Today in the papers I read about these things so I did some research:

In Phily, anonymous flyers in predominantly black neighborhoods have claimed that voters with unpaid traffic tickets, outstanding warrants, or even unpaid child support will be arrested at the polls.

AND this in Virginia, DC, and North Carolina:
Now, perhaps it is unfair to say that one particular party is hitting new lows in voter scare tactics and fraud, but the polls have been slipping and desperate times call for desperate measures.  What's amusing (but wrong) is that many people in the blogosphere are supporting the idea that if anyone is dumb enough to fall for these scams then they shouldn't be allowed to vote.  That is funny, in jest, but there is a real big problem out there that someone(s) is trying to undermine Democracy by using false government documents and scare tactics to keep a certain group of people from getting there right to vote.

And just a couple more scams, scares, and frauds from Fox News:

In Nevada robo-calls from alleged Obama volunteers have told voters to cast their ballots over the phone by calling into a secure "vote line" instead of going to the polls.

Flyers in Jewish neighborhoods have linked Obama to the Holocaust as well as others stating he favors Palestine over Israel.  One says " Many of our ancestors ignored the warning signs in the 1930s and 1940s and made a tragic mistake."  The poster has a nice picture of Obama speaking in Germany.

In Colorado calls were made to residents and informed them that their identification had expired and they would be arrested at the polls for using illegal identification.

And don't forget the classics that have gone around like Obama will swear in on the Qur'an and many more.

Frankly, this is all really scary and as technology gets better and better these things will get harder and harder to stop from happening.  Then there is all the forceable problems with the switch to electronic voting machines which we can't even get into because no one really knows what will happen there.  I'm not going to say that the GOP is evil and trying to steal the vote because they probably never OK'd any of these things (that'd be political suicide) but there are scary people out there (most of who want the GOP to win) that are doing some fucked up things in the name of "the greater good."

If you know of more or have extra links to add just post a reply and I'll put them in.  I;d like to see some pro-Obama scams if you can find some other than McCain is old and will die soon.
